So I am working on a Lolly Buffet for this coming weekend, and I thought I would share with you all a piccy of one of the completed jars – just need to add the lollies! I am excited, I hope it turns out like the image I have in my mind! I will share more pictures with you after the weekend.

The colours capture the transition from the heat of summer into the cooling days of Autumn. Autumn is by far my favourite season of the year, and in fact, I was married in Autumn! With colours like Honey Gold, Ultramarine Green, Olympian Blue and Rose Smoke, it will be hard to pick a favourite!

On Friday evening the hubby and I were very fortunate to attend the first Babes, Boys and Beers event hosted at possibly one of Brisbane’s most iconic and treasured tourism icons, the XXXX Brewery. The event was coordinated by the wonderful team at Babes in Business! A little back ground for those of you who are not aware of Babes in Business. Started 8 years ago, Babes in Business was created to support talented women in business, and to provide them with opportunities in the corporate domain to showcase their talents and successes. Babes in Business is all about celebrating women’s achievements both personally and professionally. It’s about connecting fabulous women through events, mentoring programs, debates and learning.
The evening was designed to encourage babes to bring along a male friend or partner to share in a fun evening of fabulous beer, food and company. The ‘Tales and Ales’ experience was lead by James Squire Beer Specialist, Andrew Gowdie, who was a wealth of knowledge. The selection of 5 beers were perfectly matched to mouth watering canape’s, including a dessert, which, oddly, included a dessert beer! Who would have thought?!? It was something my husband and I probably wouldn’t have done off our on bat, and was a great opportunity to network and meet new people. It also proved to be a great place to catch up with old acquaintances!
Overall the evening was really enjoyable and so well put together. I am looking forward to attending more Babes in Business Events! A special thanks also goes out to Bellinda Grimwade for making Chris and I feel so welcome. Towards the end of last year, I was lucky enough to play a small part in an amazing “Endless Summer” Inspiration Shoot, captured by the very talented Lillie Brennan from Shutter and Lace Photography. The shoot was organised by Savor The Moment Wedding Planning, which included a group of wonderfully talented wedding professionals. Rosamund House & Wedding Gardens was the setting for the shoot on a very warm November afternoon. The idea behind the concept of the shoot came from Lillie, which she described as “Summer with a 50’s twist”. The gorgeous Lynette Day Designs’ headpiece’ that I wore on my own wedding day was borrowed for the shoot. When Nikki from Savor The Moment Wedding Planning put a call out for a headpiece, I knew it would be perfect. It really was fabulous to be a part of this photo shoot and see the veil used again. It broke my heart to to think it could be sitting in a box for a lifetime. It was a great opportunity to meet some of the faces behind Brisbane’s ever growing wedding community. The photo shoot was featured on Polka Dot Bride in early February. I hope you enjoy the photos!

Yep! It is official! A big congratulations to Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez! Over the weekend Olivier confirmed that, yes the engagement rumors are true. The stunning green emerald ring designed by a Parisian Jeweler is real. The couple have been dating publicly for several months. No wedding plans have yet been announced.
So in keeping with my Friday theme of late, I spyed these most gorgeous Tangerine Lillies in my regular coffee shop this morning. Absolutely Love. Just had to share with you all! Enjoy Friday!
